  • The most famous rooftop penthouse in Los Angeles. The first of its kind, this gorgeous space with quaint Art Deco features was the brainchild and home of James Oviatt (1888-1974).

  • Preferred culinary partner list or outside culinary welcome.

    Beverages and alcohol must be purchased through The Oviatt in-house bar, bar program customization + bar agencies welcome.

    *Onsite kitchen equipment available for guest and vendor use: Oven, Stove, Fryer, Refrigeration.

  • The Oviatt has in-house tables, chairs, lights, heat lamps, dinnerware, flatware, glassware, and other infrastructure needed for your event.

    Outside vendors are welcome for event rentals.

  • In-house valet services are available for your party. Please inquire directly for our preferred partner contact information.

    There are also several self-park lots in the immediate area.

    Additionally, The Oviatt is only steps away from the Red and Purple Metro Line metro stops.

  • The Oviatt is now managed by Olive & Grand which was founded in 2021 by former Live Nation and AEG venue General Manager, Gabe Sobol.

    With over 15 years of experience operating event venues and a personal connection to The Oviatt, where he and his partner married, each client will receive dedicated service and care.

  • "Such a beautiful venue. Feels very "old hollywood" down to the elevator that feels very "hollywood tower of terror" feel to it. The view from the top is just amazing. My friend got married there in January and got lucky because it didn't rain, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful skyline of downtown LA. There are parking lots all around... joes parking is right across the street or pershing square parking lot just down the street."

  • "With Gabe's help, we were able to plan a spectacular wedding for over 50 guests in under 3 months. We didn't hire a day-of coordinator (originally only planned for 30 guests) and as should be expected, things came up with third party vendors that threw off our schedule by about an hour. Gabe was there to ensure all adjustments were made with the caterers in real time so that everything went smoothly. Leading up to the wedding Gabe was extremely communicative, gave excellent guidance for parts we were unsure about, and was extremely accommodating in finding times to tour the space with our vendors. Above all, the venue is probably the most beautiful in all of LA for an event of our size, and the food and drinks were top notch. You will not find a better deal than this. Also, highly recommend the lamb shank if it's still on the menu."
